walking the wall for Julie
Well done to all the team for a camarduwie(sic) walk for a good cause . Looking forward to reading the final write up. So glad the weather didn't dampen your spirits. Nice to read the wine went down well(even on the train home) Hope the bus driver was on time today? peter r.

Excuse me while i explain Ali's reluctance to do a write up . I think you all underestimate your own ability for xc flight. Ali knows he is only trying to keep up with the NHPC xc crew who fly 110% whenever they are out and take whatever distance they can achieve.( which is always good) he just chan...

Good news on this wet day.
Good news for cross fell flyers and real ale drinkers. The Shepherds Inn re-opens today. It is to be run by the co-operative from Hesket Newmarket brewery.Such favourites as Doris'90th and Old Carrock Strong Ale amongst others from their fine collection. peter r
To John and family

coastal flying
In my opinion this pilot is enjoying a coastal flight in a very flatland area and if it was frowned upon it would have been deleted by the club that runs the local area. Yes he was too close to the houses ,but he wasn't hanging about . He covered quite a bit of ground in 4'53 minutes of video. This ...

Lcc
Yes Kay the LCC is on (5th/6th June) .Follow "INFO" on front page of CSC site the LCC details are there. As yet no booking forms but i think it won't be long as people are starting to ask questions. Peter r.
Lcc
The form isn't there yet and has been mentioned by a CSC member on our website. The LCC page on the members only area has nothing extra either. Skywings or human error to blame ,but no early sign ups for CSC members either !! Peter r.

Great day, with people flying all day. By my reckoning (bad memory) approx. 27 NHPC ,4 CSC and a visitor from Blackpool (possibly csc member). Still plenty of sky for everyone. With a great glide out by Bill S. and Wendy P. at the end of the day. Peter r.

Carlisle Ranges
When John named them Marie Celeste ranges he wasn't wrong. The latest news i have is that just between Plumpton and Penrith the TA had/has a range at Wan Fell. They also use /used one at Clifton Moor ,but i'm not sure where that is.Hopefully these names might ring a bell and bring back a memory or two...

Now that i have a bit more information about the area you were based and the regiment you were attached to maybe i can get nearer to finding more info. I take it R.A. = Royal artillery. I looked at some of my dads photos the other day.I also found his army shooting target logbook. He seemed to be a g...
