Just a thank you to gordie who put the word out, and all the pilots at Bewaldeth who were kind enough to cease flying until I got up and away. You can imagine it doesn't take too many inefficient turns to put a hang glider at the bottom of a 200ft hill.

Just back from Annecy. There's a barrier blocking the drive to launch. Many quickly drive through after the schools have driven through. The Barrier is opened by a card obtained from Doussard Mairie. Not content with forgetting to clip in and the hang glider crashing into the bushes, the pilot clips in then flies the glider into the bushes

Phew, I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks this way. Personally I'm just happy to get to base and bimble aimlessly from cloud to cloud. It's often a pain in the @ss to go xc on a hang glider. Landing by the car and being home for tea usually puts a bigger smile on my face - but I am an old :!: P...

The two disciplines are too complimentary for that. I'm not looking forward to ageing and losing the ability to go rigid.
