My son got married last weekend at the White Swan, Alnwick. Couldn't fault it - great location, excellent and unobtrusive service. One of the best wedding setups I've ever seen.

A freezing fly-down

Nice slabby snow on the east side of Clough Head provided light entertainment for rather longer than desired for three of us who "enjoyed" a climb up to the top before an extremely cold fly down. Good job it wasn't soarable as it would have taken more than a bit of antifreeze in the blood....

Alpine day on Blencathra

Deep snow made for a slog up Blease and an interesting range of launch styles on Monday. But those who dared were rewarded with a spectacular soaring flight

I went through the same brain-aching process a few months ago Brian. I was going to go for a "low end" 1-2 as I had only flown my DHV1 U-turn since CP but Stevie Giles suggested I should at least try one or two of the newer EN B / higher end 1-2s. Well I put several hours on a Rush2, a Swi...

Flying Burnbank Fell 8th November

Burnbank delivered a surprising load of goodies last Sunday :) Here's a short video - it was quite exciting at times but of course they are precisely the times I didn't fancy holding the camera so I didn't capture the more "challenging" moments  http://vimeo.com/7535206 Anyway, enjoy!

Ullswater's pretty thin so you'd need to be in the right position for a splash-down Garry
