Lanzarote to Fuerteventura by hang glider

Amazing video of the guy who flew from Lanzorote to Fuerteventura a few years ago. Heard about the flight but didn't know he'd done a video of it. Thanks to Steve for passing this link on.

Blue Monday in Lanzarote

So yesterday is supposed to be the most depressing day of the year known as Blue Monday. Well not for our lads hang gliding in Lanzarote. Steve Gill, Bob Sutherland and Ali Johnston were out flying in perfect conditions at Famara, the most spectacular site on the island where the sheer cliffs rise s...

I'm struggling to remember what the different trophies are. Could someone just post the list up here to remind me? (i know they're probably listed somewhere else but I don't have time to sift through the site and find them) My initial feeling is that it would be wrong to just lock them away and forg...

Re: Steve

The main point is.. the Birdman trust fund have never had any jackpot money to give out ! its the insurance company that pays out. Every year the event has just broke even, they now can not afford the massive insurance hike from £2000 to £8000 for the jackpot of £30,000 This is a real shame. Last y...

The tall guy at the back looks like Mike Mavin who was my instructor in the early nineties when the school was owned by Clive Brewit, before Selby took it over, so that dates it to about late eighties, early nineties. I'd agree with John, it's not the training slope at Titlington, which is known as ...
