Re: Club Meetings

Now we have a bit more freedom, the odd social get together could be interesting. Although the corner House is a little awkward to get to, maybe somewhere near the A1 would be easier, Blaydon rugby club, the skiff Inn swalwell, the ravensworth arms lamesley or the Toby carvery Kenton bank, food for ...

2021 LCC

Great weekends flying at the Grasmere based LCC, with a half dozen nhpc members involved, Frist time I've flown all three days over the weekend since I started entering in 2014, due to poor weather, bad luck or poor timing, but as always a great weekend whatever the weather, fingers crossed for next...

A sunny afternoon on humbelton

Arrived on humbelton just after Lee had landed, continue on up the hill to find mark and John enjoying the afternoon sunshine, a bit of banter, then as forecast, the wind picked up and it was time to fly, John was first off followed by Mark, quickly gaining a bit night. We all enjoyed sailing round ...

The Northern Trophy Challenge

Just wondering if anyone fancies forming/joining a WhatsApp or Telegram group, for the sole purpose of getting together to tackle the northern trophy challenge (NTC). The idea been to pick the best site for the weather conditions and sharing the transport, as the challenges are well spread over the ...

Sea breeze prediction

Been so close to the north sea, most of our sites are influenced by the sea breeze, after a pleasant pint in Rothbury and discussion about the flying from Hogdon law on Wednesday, how can we extract the most flying from our sites with the forecasting available, taking off around midday it was thermi...

Cookies Friday

Interesting flying at cookies today, just about a vertical take off a harrier jump jet would be proud of to a fly pass from the RAF, a reasonable boat about for half an hour before having to get on the speed bar to push forward and land out front, before handing to the pub for two points of larger a...

First flight after retrimming

headed west to southern fell yesterday, the main aim been to test fly my wing after a service and retrim, the results where quite noticeable in a positive way,
Worth the expense and missing out on a couple of possible flying days.

One eye on the west for Sunday
All change, nothing stays the same for long, making a forecast on flyability more than 12 hours in advance has been a gamble lately,
The forecast now gives the east side a slim chance now,
Let's see what happens over the next 24 hours

Cheers John, I do enjoy reading your post, I should make it my new years Resolution write up a few lines or take up swimming, although I don't think I'll get a pond to myself as I had the Bell to myself on Saturday apart from a wave and fly pass from a sail plane.
Cheers
