But over the lambing dates you were all for democracy and going through the right channels... ie the sites officer. You were all for the democratic process then Ronnie. I as the democratically elected Chairman of the club made an executive decision. Now because you are unhappy with something, you as...

This club is run democratically Ronnie. We have a sites officer who speaks to the Farmers ON BEHALF OF THE CLUB. I seem to remember you making a great fuss earlier on in the year about lambing dates being published on the forum, and not having been cleared with the sites officer first. Now you are s...

I knew about the Dales situation months ago Alastair and it has its problems....irresponsible pilots.
Would you care to expand on this statement Ronnie?

Because funnily enough the Dales Sites Officer knows nothing about it.....

so why make it much easier for them by addvertising all our sites ! I will give you an example why it is a good reason to advertise Ronnie.... It is in hand Ronnie. Dont worry about it.

As for my embarrassment.... read Skywings Ronnie, and then compare the attitude of the Dales club with our approach. Then maybe you will understand.

Thanks for the input Geoff. I am concerned at the negative image that NHPC seems to generate with our neighbours. Gary has referred to the article on the inside cover of this months Skywings, written by the Dales club, about reciprocal rights. I didnt respond to their letter, I would have been sayin...

It was obviously not an SIV course Ronnie...... people wanted their final tasks for the Pilot rating signing of, so that their papers could be submitted to the BHPA and they could get the shiny new badge that goes with the Pilot rating..... even Mad Dog was keen to get the badge! Nothing more than a...

Having entered two rounds of the British Club Championship, NHPC team Red is now in fifth place overall in the competition!

Take a look at :

Thanks to Neils brilliant flying on the Saturday, we won that round.

much searching over different weather forecasts We spent ages searching the forecasts.... it took nearly 4 pints worth of time...... :D :D A real shame, as I know Ron Don and Bob Sutherland have put a lot of time in with the local farmers, who it must be said seemed keen to have the comp! BCC comp at last!

At last! Two days flying in the British club championship, with tasks set on both Saturday and Sunday! Saturdays task was to fly to Hasty Bank, then back to Cringle, and Open Distance from there. Having discussed distances flown with the other teams it looks like we might have had the individual win...

Garmin 76c. Does what it says on the tin. Dead easy to use when flying, much easier than etrex which are fiddly to change screens in flight. Or you could go posh with a flytec 5020, if you have more money than sense.... :D :D :D (there have been a rash of 5020's bought in the past month by certain c...

I would imagine most club members are currently in the Lakes, nursing hang overs, after last nights Lakes charity classic bash. It does look fairly strong today, especially if it is varying from 4-15mph on wether. Wind is forecast to drop this evening. Maybe a late afternoon / evenings fly at Miller...

SIV and all that.......

Whilst out in Olu Deniz I spent some time talking to the current crop of pilots doing the SIV course. And also a guy called Stuart, who had lost his left han...

How to be totally insane.....

I have been to Olu Deniz a few times... doing SIV courses, and free flying there, and the last couple of occasions I have booked my holidays via Thomas Cook, who's website allows you to "tailor make" your trip. So you are not restricted to a 7 day package.... you can extend it to 10 days i...
