Chamonix

If - and just now it's a big if - but if I got the chance to head out to Chamonix for a long weekend of speedflying this coming September, where would be the suggested accommodations??
Flights are about £100 return - so if the accommodation price is right who knows????

Thanks in advance
Dave.

Cheers all. Yeah Jim, the flying sounds amazing though I have a mate up here in Scotland who hates the place - purely because of the hectic take-offs and ignorant skygods!! (He has over 4000hrs in !!!!) Might be just too busy in all the regular places. He's suggested heading to a few quieter sites. D.

I'm gonna be there with the family at some point over the first 2 weeks of Aug.

John, I'll take a look at those sites - cheers.

Annecy

Hi All, Haven't been around here for ages but was wondering if any of you guys can help. I'm off to Annecy this summer as part of a Euro Tour and have left it too late to book a camp site. Didn't want to plan too far ahead - !! Does anyone have experience of arriving in the area with nothing booked....

As an ex-skydiver, (along with Chris and Jan), I've said before on this forum, the injuries suffered by this guy are or WERE unfortunately very common in skydiving circles. A move onto smaller more "radical" canopies led to this - I've even heard of canopies being cut from dead bodies and ...

The talk by Gordie/Terry sounds good.
