The site guide I got a month ago still has a Mr Ridell as the shepherd at Longknowe. The chap I met there on Xmas Eve is the new shepherd a Mr Longdon (i think). He said Mr Ridell died a while back. The new tennant really appreciated the bottle that was sent to him. I added another small bottle of whisky from me as an Xmas gift after going up there hoping to fly. No such luck. A strong wind (probably due to venturi) off to the SSW of the hill had me going backwards so packed up and went home.

Mr Logan is the shepherd at Longknowe and Coldsmouth. Nothing has changed regarding access to both sites. Unfortunately this part of the estate is up for sale. Hopefully it will be bought by a non shooting party.
Site guide contact has been updated.
