well it seems like it is the season for triangles.
An truly awesome flight was done in the lakes today (60km tri) by Chris Scammel.....legend. This was not a matter of getting high and aiming in three different directions but an incredibly technical flight which found Chris having to relay on his extensive local knowledge to navigate his way round the prevailing wind and sea breezes and safely negotiate convergence opportunities....etc
And more to the point, whilst Steve G and I were playing with our DHV2/3’s in our wendy house, Chris completed his flight on a Dhv1 (or 1/2?).
In short I am in awe of what Chris achieved today and recommend you all take a look at his flight.

Hi John,
No the Scottish record and British record for that matter still sits with Steve Senior for his 68km triangle flight he did in the company of Ulric Jessop.
How ever hats off to the likes of Ian, Jules and Chris for some very inspiring tracklogs.
