A Very Scottish Hogmanay........

Wonderful countryside, better company, loved the craic, superb walks and even some flying. Did you guys fly yesterday after I had roosted?

Reports of wonderful flying today from Naomi on Broughton.........

Bonny Scotland..No Midges...No Rain...No Howling Gales...Its true :)
Paul and I travelled North with a mind to having a Scottish New Year..Put the wings in the van just in case ! ..We flew 4 days out of 5 !
Although day 1 was a little unconventional !!!!!!!!! The high pressure that prevailed also caused some low cloud on the hills. On day 1 we could'nt find a suitable place to fly..the cloud showed no sign of lifting SO we found a Dam with a breeze blowing up the face, although I was'nt convinced at first after watching Paul soaring with ease..I had a go too..Quite Eeary.

New Years Eve..we met up with Jan and Chris Little..Ian & Naomi and Paulo and Cathy..The aim to fly off the summit of Ben Nevis..But that cloud again :x ...Anyway we got a good way up till the cloud was bouncing on the top of our wooly hats !..Found a place to fly and Hey Presto..Paul, Chris Ian and my self had a most memorable flight round the flanks of the mountain..soaring back and forth eventually Ian landing back at the vans Paul Chris and I in Fort William...Anyway I have attatched a few photos..they are a bit out of correct order but you get the picture.
Happy New Year Everyone
Kay & Paul

Dave I'm sure you will - planning more trips to the highlands soon the flying potential is great and still need to make it to the top of the Ben to fly off. 8)
