Just look upwind! It's not so bad in light winds but a strong wind site? - Only for the brave!

At least you got flying - my roster seems to have a magical effect on the weather at the moment. Tomorrow should be good for those lucky enough to be free.

Can't beat it - a lovely area no matter what your doing. R&U are great hosts and if they are booked up Ruth will help you get accomadation in the St Aubern area and help you plan your stay. If your stopping at R&Us (recomended) take your drinking boots :) http://www.pottyplace.com/ http://ww...

2008 was for me one of the most enjoyable and quality years so far. An exciting tandem xc. Some stunning xc in Scotland over the cairngorms. A slow summer had one or two gems to relive over and over. The best thing has been that all my flights were shared with other pilots so thanks Naomi, Jules, Da...

No Steve I'm not a member paid or honorary. But I am used to using the scoring system and was trying to explain to Colin and John how it works (or doesn't in the case of triangles). I don't think I said what system should be used just tried to explain how the scoring works. I apologise to the member...

JOHN WALLIS - check your diary and clear a weekend the winnings will be sent down at your demand! I was wrong - The winter league is indeed scored on OLC points NOT 3 TP as I thought (that was the year before). ie. take off-TP1-TP2-TP3-TP4-TP5-land So to win get some top notch electrically heated gl...

Not quite right 3 Turn Point - USED FOR NHPC WINTER LEAGUE Scores 1 point for all distance from take off - TP1-TP2-TP3 - landing OLC - fun but not used Scores point for all distance from take off - TP1-TP2-TP3-TP4 you then get 0.8 points per km to TP5 and them 0.6 points per km to the ...

Every year the same confusion ! (headbang) (headbang) (headbang) (headbang) I thought you had been using 3 TP not full OLC. I can't find the link I used last time for the scoring but full OLC is something like distance for TPs 1-3 = 20% of TP 3-5. OLC triangle scores are often well wide of the mark ...

I pushed the same idea past Gary. Make all trophies open for all classes of wings. It would certainly wake the HGs up and we may even see some ridgeds being used open XC. At the moment, even based on national leagues, the PGs would push them hard to the top spots. Would Sten be allowed to mix his HG...

I made them up - just an estimate of glide performance for each DHV class. BCC apply some handicaps based on glider and pilot rating I don't know what they are?
